Alex is a Primary Therapist at Gavia LifeCare Center. He earned his Master of Social Work from Boston University and his Master of Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. After spending 15 years in the corporate world, Alex entered the mental health field and over the past 4 years has developed a background in operations, crisis management, and providing individual psychotherapy. Alex primarily uses SchemaFocused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practice to guide and support clients as they create insight and transformation in their lives. He has also spent the past couple of years pursuing evidence-based expertise in treating acute, chronic, and complex trauma and all of the experiences that may come with it including depression, anxiety, panic, anger, dysregulation, obsessive compulsion, personality difficulties, and interpersonal relationship problems. He is committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space to discuss your experiences and develop the self-direction and connectivity needed to build a life that has meaning and value to you.
