Gloria Schou is a cat mom, yoga practitioner, painter, and tarot novice. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2020. She is passionate about working with children and families and has an abundance of experience over several years, doing just that. She has worked in several schools from elementary to high school, working with all ages. Previously, Gloria was a residential clinician for children with developmental disabilities. She uses a humanistic approach, which emphasizes a person’s inherent need for unconditional positive regard. Gloria recognizes the importance of building resiliency when facing the very real challenges of life. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Intergenerational Trauma Treatment Model (ITTM). In addition to her passion for working with trauma, Gloria is working at Gavia DEI specialist. Gloria has an appreciation and devotion to treating developmental and complex trauma.
