Kizzie Cooper (she/her) is a Primary Therapist in the Complex Care Group at Gavia. With a strong background in both mental health counseling and social work, she specializes in providing therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities. She seeks to help individuals navigate depression, anxiety, self esteem, grief and trauma.
Kizzie holds a Master of Social Work Degree from SUNY Brockport and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Southern University at Edwardsville.
With over a decade of experience in the field, working in both urban and rural communities, Kizzie utilizes evidence-based practices to deliver person-centered, compassionate care in a supportive clinic and virtual environments.
Outside of work, Kizzie enjoys many hobbies—spending time with loved ones, being in nature, The Arts, playing backgammon and Spades.
