Madi's received a BA in Biology and Adolescent Education from SUNY Geneseo MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Rochester. Madi’s background is in college mental health counseling. She completed her internship at the University Counseling Center at University of Rochester, and completed her practicum at the Burgett Intercultural Center at University of Rochester.
Madi’s approach to therapy is person-centered with a queer-feminist lens. She particularly enjoys working with the LGBTQ+ community, people who have experienced trauma, and folks experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. She believes that mental health and social justice are inextricably intertwined, and that creativity and humor both have a place in the therapy room.
In her free time, Madi enjoys making collages, planting flowers in her garden, doing art projects, and making friends with various animals.
