Job Description Primary Therapist (Young Adult & Adolescent Clinic)

At Gavia Lifecare Center, we are an OMH licensed outpatient mental healthcare center on the forefront of implementing integrated mental healthcare services independent of a large medical facility. We pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health counseling, medication management, and crisis services in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

Primary therapists expected to carry a caseload of approximately 45 clients providing individual adolescent, adult, and/or family counseling. This is a 32-40 hour per week position.

Requirements:

  • MS or MA in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required
  • LMHC (or limited permit eligible) or LMSW/LCSW
  • 1-2 years working in the clinical mental health setting with the general adult population
  • In depth understanding of ethical and theoretical considerations for counseling
  • AAbility to sit, stand, and fulfill other job-related physical duties

Job Description:
Gavia LifeCare Center is a leading outpatient mental health clinic located in Greece, NY. Committed to adhering to the regulations set forth by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), we strive to provide comprehensive and compassionate mental health services to individuals in need within our community. Our clinic offers a range of therapeutic interventions and support services aimed at promoting healing and well-being.

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Director of Operations who is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York, to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of Gavia LifeCare Center. The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with OMH regulations, as well as in driving strategic initiatives to enhance patient care and organizational effectiveness

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the administrative and clinical teams, about 60 employees in total,
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, ensuring compliance with OMH regulations, including scheduling, patient flow, facility management, and resource allocation, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with OMH regulations, HIPAA, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the clinic’s budget, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth while adhering to OMH guidelines.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and support staff, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to promote employee engagement and retention.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of patient care services in alignment with OMH requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, community partners, and regulatory agencies, to support the clinic’s mission and objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and initiatives that align with the clinic’s mission and vision.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or operations management, preferably in a mental health or outpatient clinic setting
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successful financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of OMH regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement methodologies
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management software applications

Clinical Director: General Adult Program

Job Description:

Gavia Lifecare Center is seeking a Clinical Director to help provide high-quality adult outpatient specific treatment throughout the agency and in the greater Rochester area. This is a leadership position, and at Gavia Lifecare Center we are looking for a clinician who can aid in the development and advancement of our established team of adult clinicians. Community engagement and ability to perform individual therapy to individuals with general adult population are key components of this role, in addition to supervision of other clinical staff.

Primary Duties:
Direct Clinical Services (50%)

  • Carry a caseload of between 20-25 clients, performing direct clinical duties such as evaluations, treatment planning, individual and family therapy for an expected 9-15 hours per week of direct care.
  • Clinical focus will be providing individual therapy to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain appropriate paperwork as required by OMH standards

Supervisory Duties (35%)

  • Interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of complex care specific clinical staff
  • Direct supervision of complex care specific clinical staff including review of practices, standardization of clinical practices, validation of clinical skills through direct observation, and review of client concerns
  • Documentation of supervision sessions
  • Other supervisory duties as required

Program Development (15%)

  • Development of Adult Program to include practice protocols, treatment standards, etc.
  • Development of staff criteria for participation in the Adult Program
  • Facilitation of a supervision group
  • Implementation of programs throughout the agency. This may include all agency trainings, consultation with staff regarding specific cases, participation in site specific team meetings to review specific treatment options for clients
  • Community involvement promoting this program to become known as a premier Adult Outpatient Program in Upstate NY
