Lorraine Mull is an MSW graduate from Nazareth University. Her background includes internships at RCSD Social Emotional Learning Department. The University Counseling Center (UCC) at the U of R. The Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Service (CAPHS). After graduating, Lorraine worked for RCSD as a Social Worker and then The Villa of Hope in both locations she worked with adolescents dealing with trauma and substance abuse. Lorraine has experience in cofacilitating CBT and DBT groups. She is trained in TIG (Trauma, Illness and Grief) mental health teams who support schools, students, staff and families during crisis situations. Lorraine also has an MSEd. As a former Art Teacher, Lorraine tries to incorporate art in some of her sessions with clients. Lorraine loves being creative, reading and music of all genres. Prior to Covid she was always at the Rochester Jazz music fest, and the Gateways music fest. Lorraine has always advocated for justice and knowing one’s power to inspire change. Lorraine is comfortable with strength-based therapy, but she will apply what is best suited to each client (evidenced-based, psychodynamic therapies) are often helpful to some clients. She is also interested in supporting LGBTQ+ patients. Lorraine enjoys helping people learn to manage problems and improve their quality of life.
