Rachel Byrnes (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Director at Gavia. With a strong background in both mental health counseling and medical social work, she specializes in providing therapy to individuals who are neurodiverse, living with a physical or cognitive disability, or dealing with chronic illness.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree with double majors in psychology & English from Niagara University and a Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. With over a decade of
experience in the field, Rachel utilizes evidence-based practices to deliver person-centered, compassionate care in a supportive clinic or virtual environment.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys many hobbies—spending time with loved ones, reading, going to the theater, playing video games, hiking, and cuddling with her dog and cat at home.
