Vincent Sears

PhD, MHC, LP - Counselor
Brief info

My counseling philosophy is holistic and integrative, honoring the whole person and the communities that shape them. I draw from humanistic–existential foundations to create a space where clients feel seen, safe, and invited to tell the truth of their lives. Clinically, I integrate attachment-based work and Internal Family Systems to support inner-child healing, alongside mindfulness, self-compassion, and body-centered practices that help clients regulate, restore, and rise. With a critical social justice lens, I attend to the systemic forces that burden individual lives, ensuring care that is culturally-responsive and trauma informed.

I am committed to therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, validation, and deep healing, where resilience is nurtured, empowerment is practiced, and dignity is non-negotiable. As a Black clinician-scholar, I build liberatory spaces that say: you are not your wounds, and your story still sings.

Areas of focus: trauma recovery, identity development, attachment injuries, and co-occurring concerns.
