Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Description:

Gavia LifeCare Center is hiring a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who values a team building culture where you can practice at the top of your license. We are currently seeking candidates that are experienced and passionate about working the adult population and making a difference in the lives of others through providing medication management services. This is flexible part-time or full-time position expected to be 28-32 hours per week with a hybrid schedule.

At Gavia Lifecare Center, we are an OMH licensed outpatient mental healthcare center on the forefront of implementing integrated mental healthcare services independent of a large medical facility. We pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health counseling, medication management, and crisis services in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with clients admitted to Gavia Lifecare Center for psychiatric assessment and treatment.
  • Meeting with clients for ongoing medication management
  • Consultation and review of client treatment plans
  • Participation in weekly case review and selected agency meetings as appropriate.
  • Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team including RNs, psychiatric nurse practitioners, primary therapists, and administrative staff
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Psychiatric Nursing

Qualifications:

  • Valid PMHNP license in NYS
  • 2-3 years of experience working in outpatient mental health preferred.
