Rosemary is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Rosemary earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St.Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She spent over 20 years in pediatric nursing in areas of intensive care, triage, palliative care and college health. It is in supporting children, adolescents and their families through her years as a registered nurse that her passion for mental health care was reignited. Rosemary earned a master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from St.John Fisher College where she continues to be involved in teaching in the clinical setting. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Rosemary has worked with children, adolescents and adults. She has expertise in trauma and its connection with the symptoms that individuals experience as anxiety, depression and attention deficits. In addition to her work at Gavia LifeCareCenter, Rosemary continues to gain valuable experience while providing psychiatric care in the areas of substance abuse and eating disorders at local treatment centers. Rosemary provides a recovery-oriented, person-centered, and strength-based approach to treatment. This allows one’s personal experiences and strengths to be incorporated into their treatment plan to promote recovery and healing.
