Jess Gallicchio (she/her) earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology and Sociology from Alfred University, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She has experience working with children and adolescents involving foster care, crisis support, case management, and family systems. Jess has also worked as a Social Learning Specialist, supporting students with school
crises, group activities, and self-esteem, using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). Previously, Jess provided home-based crisis intervention for families and youth facing depression, trauma, eating disorders, and self-harm while working with Catholic Charities.
She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered approaches, trauma informed practices, while incorporating art therapy modalities. Jess believes therapy offers a space where clients can feel heard, seen, and supported throughout their journey. Her focus includes adolescents and adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, ambiguous grief, and self-esteem issues. Jess is passionate about continuing to support adolescents and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and spending timewith her family, including her three dogs and two cats.
